Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Constant Growth Media LLC, trading as MrCareerz ("MrCareerz", "we", "us", "our"), is a recruitment sourcing agency. We help employers, mostly in the United States, find and hire vetted remote talent, primarily from South Africa. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to hire.mrcareerz.com and mrcareerz.com, to our forms and emails, and to our sourcing, screening, and placement services (together, the "Services").

We handle information about two main groups of people: employers (the businesses and hiring managers who engage us) and candidates (the people we source, screen, and put forward for roles). Some sections below apply to only one of those groups, and we say so where that is the case.

1. Information we collect from employers and site visitors

  • Contact and company details you submit: name, work email, phone number, company name, company website, job title.
  • Hiring requirements: the role you are hiring for, required skills, seniority, hiring timeline, what the hire will own day to day, budget indications, and any notes you share with us by form, email, call, or messaging.
  • Partial form data: if you begin one of our forms and do not finish, we may retain what you entered up to that point, including your email address, so we can follow up about your enquiry.
  • Company enrichment data: publicly available information about your company, such as your website's public description and industry, which we may look up from your email domain to prepare for our conversation.
  • Automatically collected data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, and marketing identifiers such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, fbclid, gclid, and msclkid.
  • Cookies and similar technologies set by us and by our analytics and advertising partners, including session replay tooling that records mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling on our pages. See Section 6.
  • Communications: emails, messages, and notes from calls and meetings, including scheduling details when you book time with us.

2. Information we collect about candidates

If you are a candidate, we collect the information needed to assess your suitability for a role and to present you to employers.

  • Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, city and country of residence, and time zone.
  • Professional information: CV or resume, employment history, education, certifications, skills, portfolio or work samples, salary or rate expectations, notice period, and availability.
  • Assessment information: results of skills tests and written exercises, interview notes, recorded or written video interview responses, English proficiency assessments, and our internal scoring or shortlisting notes.
  • Reference and verification information: feedback from referees you nominate, and, where lawful and where you have agreed, background or identity checks and confirmation of qualifications. We ask for your consent before running any check and before contacting a current employer.
  • Work setup information: internet connection details, home office setup, and equipment, where relevant to a remote role.
  • Source information: where we found you or how you reached us, such as a job board, professional network, referral, or direct application.

Please do not send us sensitive personal information that we have not asked for, such as health data, government identity numbers, financial account details, religious or political views, or trade union membership. We do not need it to assess you for a role. If a specific placement genuinely requires such information, we will explain why and ask for it separately.

3. Where candidate information comes from

We collect candidate information directly from you, and we also source candidate information from places where professionals make themselves visible to recruiters. This can include public professional profiles and networks, job boards and CV databases you have posted to, publicly available portfolios and personal sites, and referrals from people in our network. When we contact you after sourcing your details this way, we will say who we are and why we are contacting you, and you can ask us to stop and to delete your details at any time.

4. How we use information

For employers:

  • Respond to your enquiry and send the sample candidate profile you requested.
  • Understand your role requirements, source and shortlist candidates, and manage the placement process and any replacement under our 90-day replacement guarantee.
  • Contact you about your enquiry and our services by email, phone, or SMS, and send marketing communications you can opt out of at any time.
  • Invoice, take payment, and keep accounting and tax records.
  • Measure and improve our marketing, including attributing an enquiry back to the ad or channel that referred you.

For candidates:

  • Assess your skills, experience, and fit for specific roles.
  • Present your profile to employers who have an open role we believe matches you. We share your full details with a specific employer only where you have agreed to be put forward for that role.
  • Arrange interviews, relay feedback, and support you through offer and onboarding.
  • Keep you on our talent pool for future roles, where you have asked us to or have not objected, so we can contact you about relevant opportunities.
  • Produce anonymised sample profiles that illustrate the calibre of talent we place. Sample profiles we show to prospective employers are de-identified: we remove your name, contact details, current employer, and anything else that would readily identify you, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

For everyone: to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Services, to enforce our Terms, to prevent fraud and misuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

5. Legal bases (UK, EU, and similar regimes)

Where data protection law such as the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or South Africa's POPIA applies to our processing, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests: running a recruitment business, sourcing and assessing candidates, contacting professionals about relevant roles, contacting businesses about our services, securing our systems, and measuring our marketing. We balance these interests against your rights and you can object at any time.
  • Consent: non-essential cookies and similar technologies, certain marketing messages, background and reference checks, and putting you forward to a specific employer. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performing our agreement with an employer client.
  • Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and record-keeping duties, and responding to lawful requests.

6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use first-party and third-party cookies, pixels, and tags. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working. Analytics and advertising technologies help us understand how the site is used and how well our ads perform. These currently include Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity (which may record session replays of your interactions with the site), and the Meta Pixel together with the Meta Conversions API, which sends hashed event data from our server to Meta.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of many advertising cookies at optout.aboutads.info and networkadvertising.org/choices. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.

MrCareerz is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, Instagram, or Google.

7. Who we share information with

  • Employer clients: we share candidate profiles, assessment summaries, and interview availability with the employer considering you, with your agreement for that role.
  • Candidates: we share the role details, company information, and interview arrangements an employer has asked us to pass on.
  • Referees you nominate, for the purpose of confirming your experience.
  • Service providers who process data on our behalf, currently including GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) for CRM and email delivery, Google (Sheets, Workspace, Analytics) for records and analytics, Microsoft Clarity for product analytics, Meta for advertising measurement, Wistia for video hosting, and Lovable and Cloudflare for hosting and infrastructure.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
  • Authorities or other parties where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of any person.
  • A buyer or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not sell candidate information at all. Some sharing with advertising partners, such as the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain US state privacy laws. Section 9 explains how to opt out.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States and we work with candidates in South Africa and elsewhere and with employers primarily in the United States. Personal information will therefore be transferred across borders, including to the United States, and stored and processed by our service providers in the countries where they operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent mechanisms, together with our providers' contractual commitments.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable format, withdraw consent, and opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any right, email hello@mrcareerz.com. We will verify your request, usually by confirming control of the email address we hold for you, and respond within the time frame required by applicable law. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authority.

Candidates: you can ask us at any time to remove you from our talent pool, to stop contacting you about roles, or to withdraw your profile from consideration for a specific employer. Doing so will not affect any application you have already made directly to that employer.

Marketing: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, or by replying and asking us to stop.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (California and similar states): email hello@mrcareerz.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share".

If you are in the UK, EU, or South Africa, you can also complain to your local data protection authority, or to the Information Regulator in South Africa. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

10. Automated decision-making

We do not make hiring decisions about candidates by automated means alone. We may use tooling to sort, filter, or rank applications and to help draft summaries, but a person at MrCareerz reviews shortlisting decisions, and the employer makes the final hiring decision. If you would like a human explanation of how your application was handled, email us.

11. How long we keep information

  • Employer enquiries and partial form data: up to 24 months from your last interaction, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Client records, contracts, and invoices: for the life of the engagement and then as long as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes, typically 7 years.
  • Candidate profiles in our talent pool: up to 24 months from your last interaction with us, after which we delete or anonymise them unless you ask us to keep you on file for longer.
  • Placement records: for the duration of the placement and any guarantee period, then as needed to resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
  • Analytics and advertising data: per the retention settings of the relevant platform.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls limited to people who need the data to do their job, and reputable processors. Candidate contact details are shared with an employer only when you have agreed to be put forward. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Children

The Services are intended for working adults and business users. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

14. Third-party links

Our site and emails may link to third-party sites, such as sample candidate profiles, scheduling tools, and video hosting. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
